Two-Day Aircraft Fabric Covering Workshop At Wicks

HIGHLAND, ILL. – Whether you are a beginner or someone needing to brush up on your skills, Wicks Aircraft Supply will host a 2-day seminar on aircraft fabric covering on Friday and Saturday, June 8-9, 2012, at their offices at 410 Pine Street, in Highland, Illinois. The seminar will give aircraft builders and restorers hands on experience in learning the basics of fabric covering. The presenters will demonstrate preparation, fitting, gluing, heat shrinking, coatings, taping, rib stitching and final painting techniques. Essentially, it’s a 16-hour hands-on course, working with the materials and learning the skills of aircraft covering.

Hotel reservations can be made at the Holiday Inn in Highland at 618-651-1100. Shuttle service between Shafer’s Metro East Airfield in St. Jacob, Illinois (3K6); Highland Illinois Airfield (H07); and Greenville Illinois Airport (GRE), and between Wicks and the hotel will be provided with advanced notice.
